Boys Coaches Bio

Coach Zach Mathis begins his first year with NCHS Soccer after spending 2 winning years as the JV head coach and varsity assistant at Kennesaw Mountain High School.

Coach Mathis’ playing career began early and culminated in a local, four year Varsity career at South Cobb High School where he played a range of positions (striker, sweeper, marking back and center midfield) He has his National Coaching Diploma from the NSCAA and plans to earn his Advanced National this summer.

Coach Mathis earned his B.S. degree in early childhood education from Kennesaw State University and currently teaches 2nd grade at Ford Elementary school. He is excited to be a part of the Warrior Soccer program and looks forward to continuing the tradition of success here at North Cobb.
